Downeastern Cafe
Breakfast or luncheon sandwiches, along with a variety
of hot and cold beverages . . . or just munchies and
a newspaper . . are available in the Cafe
Car.
I had a grilled chicken breast sandwich with lettuce,
tomato and Dijon mustard served on seven-grain bread --
including a complimentary bag of chilled baby carrots
-- washed down with a locally-brewed ale.
The food was served almost as "fast" of the speed of the
train! <Smile>
I enjoyed my trip, hope to travel on the Downeaster again
and again.
